Distress buried in satire

Being an outsider I always felt I wanted more than what was offered in the place I live, but these encounters were far and few between. I wanted to make things for those who feel the same and are also searching for unique things that carry a darker, satirical sensibility.

I have been working in Cape Town, South Africa, as a creative since 2004 with a background in graphic design, illustration & animation primarily being influenced and attracted to the DIY punk ethos, skate art culture and all things dark and heavy. I love the idea of process and finding things that are hand crafted and on the outskirts of mass production. This inspired me to want to have the same approach with what I have to offer you. By trying to get as much of the process done independently, I took a deep liking to screen printing, book binding, hand pulled lino block prints and handpoke tattooing. These were all learning processes but the pay off was being able to do these crafts myself and become more involved with the making of the products and commissions I offer. This way I’m always confident that you are getting something made with heart.
